Corporate Social Responsibility

Corporate Social Responsibility covers the responsibilities corporations have to the societies within which they are based and operate. Since India is a developing country with more than 70% of its population living in more than 5,00,000 villages, we as a corporate entity find it imperative to exercise our CSR objectives well.

Our CSR initiatives are well documented and personally led by our CEO. Each unit head also has responsibilities of a CSR manager and Manorama’s CEO directly monitors our CSR activities every quarter along with our unit heads or CSR managers.

Our CSR activities range from managing primary schools in remote and rural areas in the central and eastern parts of India, organizing social welfare campaigns and medical assistance for marginalized communities. These campaigns are organized during the months of April, May and June in the dense sal forests. Our other subsidiary units located near villages are involved in many social activities that are aimed at the hygiene and sanitation of these villagers.
